Revitalize the Forum

heyA! its me again.. the new tech guy ... hope all are doing good... ... as I said before in my topic. Now being one the team of the Mig33 Friends Forum... I would like to see some minor and major changes to the forum's look .. (the portal and the index page) ... so that it may look attractive & appealing to the currents members and to the new ones aswell...

frankly speaking...a "LIVING" portal will be far more attractive than the current portal... and oH!... lets not forget the color .. (greenish) ... not a superb one ...

if the senior staff agrees ... I can takeover the forum themes and appearence.. and make it cool .. in a day or two

wow abid, i love innovations . well here i'll give u a little tip,maybe u knw it already, make a free forum by ur own, try apply the changes, if they work, then take snaps and show others look wats it, they will really like that.

naAHH! its won't be a big problem.. once i get control i'll give a test run to the new appearence n theme for a couple of days to get feedback from opera mini users... so, i'll be adjusting forum that can easily work with opera-mini aswell...

secondly em trying to work out with the "pre-loader scripts" that detect the type of browser before loading the page and then shows the content according to what that browser supports

u can use my test forums for this purpose, one is at phpbb and the other one i dont know, i use to test things on them

i'll hopefully work this out ... once i get able to manage this forum's appearence.

some sample images from the test forum... u can luk @ the portal.. custom images from mig33, custom side scroll bar, mig33 flash animation right from mig33. Custom animated Feed. toolbar ad, a random fact generator ... "Did you know" ... custom buttons ... etc etc

*this is just a sample... or you can call it a beta... the actual implementation will be far more better...
** users who browse forum from opera mini don't need to get worried... I'm in contact with opera mini developers' forum for making an opera-mini friendly portal yet custom and animated...
