Gomes: We have to move on (Premier League)
Tottenham's Heurelho Gomes does not think that Dimitar Berbatov's departure will hinder his side's season objectives.
Spurs
have started the season in awful form but won some reprieve when they
held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in their last outing.Gomes
who was brought in to replace Paul Robinson has put in some good
performances and believes that his teammates will soon show their class
once they get used to the team's tactics. The Brazilian
international said: "Berbatov is a great player but he had an
opportunity that was not only good for him, but for the club and now
he's left so we move on. "Our team remains strong, even without him, and with the same will to fight for the top four places." A point at Chelsea has given Spurs hope they can finally kick-start their season. Gomes
added: "Our poor start is due mainly because Juande Ramos was still
tuning up the squad. Now he knows who he can and can't count on."
