Chelsea skipper, John Terry insists that his horrific penalty miss in Moscow has long been wiped out and forgotten.

The
England defender who's horrific penalty miss in the Champions League
final against Manchester United cost Chelsea the cup feels that he has
grown wiser and stronger as a result of that.
"Everything that happened made me mentally stronger. I had to be," Terry was quoted as saying in Sky Sports News."I think I proved that much when I came back into the England squad for the USA game two days after the final."I was sitting at the table with Manchester United players and I really didn't want to be there, if I was honest."I
really had to go in there and bite my lip. I did that and then I put in
a performance and got a goal. That took away some bad memories.
"I was never going to pull out of that game. Even if the manager had said stay away I would have begged him to come and play.""After the disappointment, we want to kick on and go one better and this time get our hands on the trophy."Terry
will not have a chance to exact revenge when Chelsea take on United in
a league game on Sunday after he received a red card for chopping down
Manchester City striker, Jo at the weekend.

Terry: I'm stronger now (Premier League) Empty Corluka: Modric will show up (Premier League)

New Tottenham signing, Vedran Corluka believes that it will be a matter of time before Luka Modric shows his class.

Croatian
midfielder Modric, came to the English game with a huge reputation with
some of Europe's leading clubs vying for his signature.
The lightweight player has failed to live up to expectations and has been rather subdued in his first few league games."Luka
is surprised at how everything is quick, fast and strong in this
league," said Corluka, who joined Spurs late last month from Manchester
City.
"He told me that in two or three more games he will be at
his best. It has been a new experience for him so it is not easy but it
will not be long before he is at his best.
"Playing in Bosnia
helped him. That league is full of very hard and strong players - big
lads who don't care about you or your health!
"He wasn't like
them but it made him develop his power and strength so that will help
him in this league. This is a better competition but he can cope."
Corluka also admitted that he decided to join Spurs partly because of Modric's presence."People
back home were talking about the transfer - it's exciting for them
because Luka and myself are now playing for the same team. Tottenham
are now the national club team for Croatia," he said with a wry smile.
"Luka's a good lad. Two days after we first met, we went for drinks and you could see that he was a good person."Now we room together when we are with the national team, so we are still friends."He
is obviously a very good player as well. When he was 14 you could see
in his movement, and when he had possession of the ball. He is a
complete person."
The pair will hope to emulate their great understanding on the pitch when Spurs take on Aston Villa tonight.
