Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on Friday, 11 March 2011. The magnitude 9.0 quake resulted in a tsunami that destroyed the nation's east coast, leaving a trail of destruction behind it. Thousands of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the disaster and now’s your chance to help them!
