Bot attacks

quite a number of times this forum has been under spammers/bots attacks ...

I want all the staff members to change their passwords & make the passwords more strong... as next attack can be a brute force attack for accessing the forum!
u can expect anything from these kinda ppl...!


I've been able to gather some clues and things they left behind... lol!

a new member named "supermario" registered @ 4:37 PM PST (that is 11:37AM GMT)
time duration of the attack was 4:41 PM to 5:12 PM PST (that is 11:41AM to 12:12 PM GMT)

the spammer flooded the entrainment and lifestyle categories mostly ...

with the posts ...



the spammer made a total of 141 posts in different sub-forums and topics... (i deleted them all, i guess)
the bot switched between 29 different IPs while posting ...

those links that spammer posted are directed to fonwar.com. I contacted that website and ask them to track the members whose referral links are those one i mentioned ...

on the other hand, I've changed the user activation method ... now the administration panel will receive an email when a user registers and an other email to activate the user.


I need support of all staff members and the whole forum as well to stop these bots and/or spammers!

lol...! guys ...! well everyone shud change his/her password to a more better and stronger one!

let the new user activation as now... admin panel will active new users everyday... and, i cant find any way to stop this kind of attack

ya cry! the present system of user registration & activation is working quite nicely! ...

because of the current setup! i was able to catch and delete 3 new users who registered and were going to flood the foruM! but i deleted them b4 they cud start

ya I guess the attacker switched between 29 proxy sites lol

LOL that hacker is bored outta his mind or else too handicapped to do anything else to put his time and energy into something this pointless

warrior hacking isnt easy he has to work hard and he is working hard lolzz lol thanks GOD he dsnt knows sql injection

whats his goal

well why spend your time doing something which doesnt provide you much entertainment or any benefit at all? I mean some might say that they get fun from making people suffer but that must get boring after a while
