The "unsinkable" ship Empty The "unsinkable" ship

Post by Cinderella Sun Feb 01, 2009 5:56 am

On a bright clear and cold night in april, 1912, a sleek, giant ship plowed through the waters of the North Atlantic, moving at a speed of about 22 knots (25 miles / 41 kms) an hour, which was too fast for the iceberg infested waters ahead. . The ship was called the TITANIC meaning huge - it was the largest ship then - 882.5 feet (269 m). . It was on it's maiden voyage. The lower part of the ship had been divided into 16 watertight compartments and builders guaranteed that even if water was to fill in as many as four compartments the ship wouldn't sink. . Crew and passengers aboard totalled to over two thousand on this cruise from Southhampton England to New York City USA. . However , the titanic hit an iceberg and a hole 90 m (300 feet) long was slashed in it's bottom having water pouring into six of the compartments. . People were shocked because it hit them that the titanic was sinking. . People tried to save themselves by getting into lifeboats or simply jumping into the sea and grabbing something to remain afloat- but it was difficult . . Because the water was ice cold. . From the time it hit the iceberg the unsinkable ship took only 2 hrs 40 mins to sink - and only 705 people survived this disaster.

Lol you too are crazy lol! my poor serious titanic became a vessel of murder for lovers :crying1: actually i feel it was Allah's way of saying that no one's greater than Him - because when the titanic was about to sail, one member of the crew said that even God Himself cant sink this ship bounce now that is called tempting fate

Thanks for the vote of suspicion there, aktel lol! and yeah cindz and fahad, where man challenges the Creator,he has to face the repucussions as well as He tells you where you go overboard and decide to be God yourself.
