Hmmm at least the world is now keen on literacy. . The need for literacy has struck the world at large and third world countries are having more n more schools built , have now got adult classes for education too. . In Pakistan, pop stars like Jawad Ahmed are promoting literacy by starting trusts called education for all where a percentage of their income is given to educate ppl in rural areas. . In Kenya, a minister went back to primary school after being 50 yrs of age cuz he'd never had the opportunity to sit for his KCPE exam-the class 8 exam. . So i guess at least the value of literacy has come to be known
