Drug dealing: It's a family affair
A MOTHER and son coke-dealing duo that targeted some of the London's most
exclusive nightclubs were arrested today.
Drug ... the pair sold cocaine at top clubs
Cops believe the criminal pair sold thousands of pounds worth of the drug
every week to clubbers heading to destinations in London’s West End.
A six-month surveillance operation revealed they operated a highly organised
24-hour business supplying cocaine to almost anywhere within the M25.
Officers said the pair, a 24-year-old man and woman in her late 40s, worked
shifts and were able to travel across the capital at short notice at any
time.
Det Supt Dave Eyles, who was responsible for the investigation, said the pair
ran a profitable business.
He said: “Our investigation has uncovered that the two worked a ’shift’
system; one of them available to travel anywhere within the M25 to supply
cocaine.
“We know that they have been dealing within the M25 but, particularly close to
some of the well-known West End clubs.
“London has a world recognised night time economy.
"The vast majority of licensees work hard to prevent this sort of
recreational drug use from taking place in their venues, something we fully
support.
“Through arresting these two I believe we have disrupted an organised gang,
who have controlled much of the sale of cocaine in this environment for a
substantial period of time.”
