2 girls butchered after 's*x party'

TWO young women found hacked to death in a luxury flat may have been killed
after a s*x party.




Their mutilated bodies were discovered hours before a man was arrested trying
to flee the country.


Cops said the victims — in their 20s — suffered “horrendous” injuries in a
frenzied attack that involved knives and blunt objects.



'Isolated incident' ... Supt Ward



The s*x party theory is being investigated as the area is notorious for the
vice trade and there was no sign of forced entry to the £200,000 flat, which
had been ransacked.


Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Mirfield said the women — who have not
been named — were subjected to a “sustained and violent attack”. He said the
scene at the two-bedroom pad in Birmingham was “particularly challenging
forensically”.

A source said: “The inside was like something out of a horror movie. There
was blood up the walls and over the furniture.

“Blood was also found on the landing and in the car park of the apartment
block — where the killer presumably drove away.


“The frenzied nature of the attacks could point to the killer being on drugs.”


The flat is on the top floor of the five-storey Jupiter block, close to the
city’s Broad Street clubland.

Resident Natalie Skett, 25, said she heard the sounds of people having s*x
from the direction of the murder flat at the weekend.


Shop worker Natalie said: “You could hear this lady having s*x really loud. I
thought she was just having a good time, but me and my friend began to think
she could be a prostitute.”

Blood




Other residents said there had been a “long and loud” party in the women’s
apartment on Saturday and claimed some of the flats are used by upmarket
hookers.


A woman, who did not want to be named, said: “Some prostitutes pick up guys
and bring them back for parties.”


Another resident said: “I often see guys in expensive sports cars pulling up
in front of the block and sometimes see women having s*x in full view of the
window.”

But police said last night they had no evidence that the butchered women —
thought to be Iranian — worked in the vice trade.


Arrest ... chain of events



Forensic teams found blood spatters in nearly every room of the murder flat.
It could mean the victims were chased around as they were attacked.


A concierge discovered the bodies on Monday after the girls’ families became
worried because they had not heard from them.


Weapons — though to include at least one knife — were found near the bodies,
which were still in the flat last night as police preserved the crime scene.


Detectives were quizzing a 28-year-old Birmingham man arrested as he tried to
board a ferry for France at Dover at 6.30am yesterday. He is thought to have
known the victims


Det Chief Supt Mirfield said: “We are not looking for anyone else at this
stage.”


Former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler — now a DJ — rents an apartment in the
block.


Supt Matthew Ward said: “We want to reassure the local community that although
this is a tragic and horrendous crime we believe it to be an isolated
incident.”
