locking of posts arbitrarily

there are rules fo locking posts and they should be followed to keep this greatt forum clean and healthy.
the most obvious and often used reason for locking a post is when the thread is getting off topic or users are targetting each others. this should be discouraged at all cost.
however, sometime this rule is abused just to make others angry.

for example, i would cite one example, in the thread about Prince Charming, many users were targeted by the person locking the post and were called liars by implication. while the users who were disgraced in such manner were not targetting anyone but were trying to make sense of the whole issue in broader terms.
unfortunately they are targeted in the last post, which was locked instantly, so that they wont be allowed to prove themselves not guilty.

if the post needed to be locked, why the person locking it couldnt resist targetting others before locking the post?
apparently they were targetted before the topic was locked to make them angry and make them feel helpless and to realize "someone's power".
well, no matter what we say or do, powerful persons are more powerful than us and we are duly aware of that. so we need not to be showed a display of that power.
so this is my humble request to all moderators and administrators that if the thread is getting off the topic or users are targetting each others, simple admonish them and lock the post. please dont become like us by targetting others. and if u do target some users, please be so magnanimous as to afford us a few words in our defense. u are very responsible people and we all look to ur example, please dont forget that.

anthro its like when you belong to a family, you’re there for each other when the need arises , but can you say the whole family is bad when one member goes astray?? Look to yourself for answers .. you know what I mean!!!

u didnt read my post carefully. that was what excatly i was trying to say stimulus. i wanted admins to be there for their family and just dont leave someone (prince charming in this case) alone by saying things like "he can be bad, damn him". in fact everyone, from u to Camhe, just tried to PROVE that u dont have anything to do with admins who are charged for things that might be true or not. u should have helped the poor memeber of ur family by inviting migteam member to prove that Prince Charming is not guilty of anything like that.

can you prove logs were “not” checked ??? , non of us witnessed your ‘argument’ -as per say- so non of us will know what transpird..if the id got banned without reason take it up with mig team.they are responsilbel for banning. but then again.. as you said you have many ids.. and camhe posted snaps.. im sure the part of it not being prince is clear???

bravo bravo bravo..... what made u think that i might have access to the logs? i am an ordinary user remember. i was actually trying to admins, u and camhe's, help to do that for me.
secondly, the claim of log being checked was made by camhe, and i disagreed. so its for her or u to prove that they are checked. can u do that? my banned id is ech0ez.plz do that.
and stimulus, i think u know me very well, my arguments are arguments,they are not abusive. dont u knw that? or u gonna say u dont know me. lolz. even then u are allowed to check the argument. u ahve power to do that.
and i dont want to take up things with migteam, thank for the info. i told in my post that i need not come from an old id or show yellow to get what i want on mig. i dont like attention. and if i do desire it, i can get it anyway.
as for my id's, they are legal and allowed by mig right?i think everyone has more than a dozen id's.

nothingness' post was grossly misunderstood. she was tring to say something else. i think she was just wondering that what Camhe's brain has to to do with the post. as it was mentioned by ENIGMA first.

it's obvious that you started this topic not as feed back on me locking the ffg topic, admins are ...(snap shots) but as a reply to it.. as only a few lines have substance which match your subject.. (title)
so if this topic is taken further, in this thread , it will just be a continuation of the locked topic with users once again targeting each other .. here's my "superfluous" line OFF TOPIC.. ( lol i love doing that now)
the topic which was mentioned was locked upon the request of two members and a mod who felt that specific topic was creating an unpleasant environment here on friends forum..

The above mentioned topic was drawn away from prince charming ( the admin in question) and had become a thread were users question each others credibility.. in this case it was locked ..And will not be unlocked for further discussion. since 6 pages of dispute was posted and still no sound conclusion was given ON THE ORIGINAL TOPIC..

forum rules or anything is not such difficut that it'll take someone to spend years and then get to know them

guys be friendly as this forum is MIG33FRIENDS forum .....
we do expect u to give ideas and have discussion but we do not prefer you to TARGET other users this way ....
that thread about prince charming was no more about him ....
it was going off topic so it was locked ...

i agree with stimmy and roma...forum is not a battle field...its a place where we put our ideas...its not the place to target one and to go after him/her...complaints with proper evidence is always acceptable...but don't be hostile guys...be friendly and keep sharing your ideas

Gooday guys well its very intesting to see how this topic has evolved. Firstly i would like to say is anthro may dear friend im quite sure you are familiar with the forum rules as you where a mod of this forum once.


Personal atacks on users is prohibited, i've never seen mods abuse of power. The topic was locked with reason. As stimmy pointed out and it ir easily visible that the purpose of this topic was to reply to the locked topic in admin section. I see that as unfair as users who still wanted to post comments to the topic cant because its locked. But u did via making another topic

We are all friends here and we discuss the happenings of our beloved application mig33 and much more.

All we can do is forward the snaps to mig33 and then the team can take the further steps.

I think anthro was not targeting anyone while i was just building on engima s good natured joke about camhe as Anthro pointed out.
And from my reading of prince charming s thread, Anthro was just confirming of logs were checked or not.Why all this was thought of as targeting?.It was discussion not fight.
But now mad killer settled the matter.I thank him for siding with simple users
