Explosion Occurs Near Denmark Embassy in Pakistan,
An explosion took place near Denmark's embassy in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, police said. There are no reports of casualties.
``We don't know the cause of the blast,'' said Muhammad Hafeez at Rescue 15, a local police agency, in Islamabad. ``It could be a bomb or the explosion may have been caused after an electric generator blew up.''
The blast killed three people and injured five others, GEO television reported, citing unidentified police officials. The explosion took place around 1 p.m. local time and the embassy building was badly damaged, GEO reported.
Denmark's three biggest newspapers, and about a dozen regional ones, on Feb. 13 reprinted an image of the Prophet Muhammad by cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, after police said he was the target of a terrorist-related murder plot. Westergaard's caricature of Muhammad wearing a bomb in his turban was among 12 printed in 2005 by the Jyllands-Posten newspaper that prompted protests in Muslim communities worldwide.

However six of the cartoons were first reprinted by the Egyptian newspaper El Fagr on October 2005. The publication did not provoke any condemnations or other reactions from religious or government authorities.
Denmark condemns embassy attack in Pakistan
Denmark has called an emergency government meeting after a suicide car bombing outside its embassy in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
At least eight people died and nearly 30 others were injured in the blast, which damaged the embassy building and left a huge crater in the road outside.
Denmark had downgraded the embassy and moved out many of its staff in recent months, in the wake of threats linked to the reprinting of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in Danish media.
The Danish foreign minister, Per Stig Moeller, has condemned the attack, describing it has "totally unacceptable."

Re: Explosion Occurs Near Denmark Embassy in Pakistan,
latest updates says that the explosive laden car had a islamabad registration number, also the reports say that the suicide bomber may wanted to target Mr. Musharraf, because the explosive laden car was seen 3 times on the official route of president (from Army House to Presidency).
*Note that, there were news about Mr.Musharraf leaving the Army House, as he is not an in-service army general anymore.
