Flooding bye bye

Hi friends,
we are still facing the problem of flooding in chat rooms despite having admins. There must be some improvement in mig to stop flooding. I have thought of a concept "Same and Similar"
people flood by adding symbols or smileys to the previous text.
example- i love u all
i love u all.
i love u:d
so u can do never ending flooding of the basic text by just giving it a difference.

nw if we apply the concept of "same and similar" we can check flooding to a great extent.
i.e (1) I love u
(2) I love u./ i love u :d
here 2 is similar to 1 and vice versa.

X- i hate you
X- i hate you.

Error- you cant send similar text.



*percentage of similarity may be fixed depending upon length of characters say 50 to 95 % similar*


so identifying technique between "same and similar" texts can be introduced. From single character to the maximum limit of characters in chat room.
this may help overcome flooding. What you people think?

I posted this idea. But i also had spoken to a friend of mine about it, it would slow mig33 server so an upgrade would be needed

they can easily find out the similar lines like:

ask-vinay: hello [the similar replies may be: hello. or hello:D (any smiley) hellox or hello x (wh.x= a char.)]



No doubt this idea won't terminate the flooding completly but It will reduce the flooding !

[b] Nice idea and i also hate flooders...But much better to give them a better sanction. Repeated messages should have charges so that they will be responsible in a chatroom. Flooders are more terrible than kickers. Nowadays its hard to identify kickers beacuse they are using different id's most of the time they are using female id so that they will be not identified, because admins kicks only multi ids with the same name be aware of this and try to be more observant in the room, not all same ids are kickers they are just a group of people who has a very closed relationship.[b]

What if we add the system of timers? Like People will have to wait for 4 seconds before posting another message?
Don't even think that it is too lengthy time! It takes approximately 5 seconds to type, post and send it to other user you are chatting with!
