Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
Being a new tech guy of Mig33 Friends Forum, I'm creating another (new) sticky that will help the dear forum members to ask for help if any software or hardware is causing problem. In this sticky you can ask for troubleshooting a software or a hardware conflict. So don't hesitate in asking for help if you are having problems with any PC related thing...
NOTE: Full help & support will ONLY be given to the softwares and hardware tweaks posted in this forum. Other queries will get partial help & support.
PS : Please don't ask how to apply a crack or use a keygen or a patch or any other queries related to piracy and/or adult software(s)

Re: Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
well!... ullu...! i mean Fahad! Lemme tell you that Windows 7 is in beta phase. Me, someone else or even microsoft won't be able to give you support or help regarding Windows 7 beta. Beta is a pre-release version that is actually used for collecting intial feedback from the beta testers to improve the final version of the software.
Beta versions have bugs, they do crash often and may conflict with hardware devices and softwares too ...
As you said that ur webcam is not working... the main reason could be that dell doesn't have a Windows 7 compatible driver of the webcam yet.
*note that there are a number of compatible drivers included with the windows, so windows might be able to recognize some hardware devices and some aren't recognized by the windows at all even if you provide the original cd/dvd...
As far as the issue with Windows Vista's Installer issue is concerned... this error usually occures when you were installing something at the first time and the setup crashed or you system restarted or got turned off... so when you install an other software or game later, it gives an error that a previous installation is suspended. The best way to get rid of this error is to let the setup (you are running) undo the changes ... or Install a registry managing software... e.g Registry Mechanic or CCleaner and repair the registry and remove the temporary files.

Re: Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
well you can use the softwares... CCleaner or Registry Mechanic ...! to fix those Installer issue... coz this error occurs when the Windows Installer finds Missing MUI references in the TEMP folder and/or registry...
About Windows 7 ... you know its beta... so you gotta wait couple of months for the proper Windows 7 compatible device drivers...
*Although I heard that for SOME hardware devices .. the Windows Vista drivers also works with the Windows 7... but NOT for all.

Re: Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
and the cellphone doesn't detect that card aswell? if the cellphone is able to access it then connect the cellphone with datacable (in file transfer or usb mode) so that windows picks it up as a removable media.
or did u check with another card reader? or in some other laptop... sometimes tapping the card against your hand makes it working...
but dont tap hard just a few gentle taps!
if all fails then i'm afraid that your card got corrupted or damaged beyond recovery...!

Re: Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
hmm well I have a question here.....recently I installed 8 gb of ram but in windows (both xp & vista) it shows 3.25 gb but in bios it shows the right amount.....then I found out that 32 bit systems cant support 3.5+ gb ram.....so I am upgrading to a 64 bit system to properly use all of my RAM.
Now my question is,after I switch 64 bit OS,whether or not the programs I run under it will be able to use more than 3.5 gb ram cause most of the programs are just 32 bit apps which will run under a 64 bit interface.......
So any idea?....

Re: Having Trouble with some softwares or hardware?
well! yes..! a 32 bit OS can only address 3GB of RAM... for using full 8 GB you need a 64bit OS ...!
as far as your applications are concerned...some applications do have dual mode -i.e- they can run on 32bit OS and 64bit OS (from the same setup file) ...
for most of the applications you'll have to download the 64-bit version! but keep in mind that 64-bit versions are difficult to crack and there are very few games for 64bit systeMs!
